Harry Truman
Harry Truman became President of the United States after FDR's death in April, 1945. He would assume the presidency as well as the role of Commander-in-Chief for the remainder of World War 2. It was President Truman that had to make the choice to drop the atomic bombs on Japan to end the war as quickly as possible.
