No lesson worksheet this time, just creativity on your part!
Warm-up for the brain: Watch F.D.R.'s speech to Congress on Dec 8, 1941. Did Japan issue a declaration of war to the United States prior to Pearl Harbor? What effect did Pearl Harbor have on United States isolationism?
Class discussion: Answer the following: "You are the United States. Having just declared war against Japan and the rest of the Axis, how do you go about attacking them? What would your war strategy have been? Who are your allies in the West? Allies in the East? Which Axis power is the most dangerous to you at this point?" Explain your answers thoroughly and be ready to discuss. |
Research and Create! Research the key events in both the European and Pacific Theaters of WWII and create two Prezi or Google Slide presentations, one for each Theater. You also have the option of creating a video documentary covering the events in each theater for +25 XC points. Be sure to state the significance of each event in your presentation. Some events are linked below to help you. Remember you may include links and multimedia within your Prezi to enhance! Follow the Slide Presentation Rubric or Prezi rubric and then upload to Google Classroom when complete.
